To diagnose transmission problems, a technician will typically perform a visual inspection and road test to identify any obvious issues. They may also use diagnostic equipment to check for error codes or test the transmission's hydraulic pressure. If the issue cannot be easily identified, the technician may need to perform more in-depth testing, such as removing the transmission pan to inspect the internal components.



Once the problem has been diagnosed, the technician will determine the appropriate repair or replacement procedures. In some cases, minor repairs such as replacing a solenoid or sensor may be sufficient. More severe issues may require a complete transmission rebuild or replacement. In either case, the technician will need to carefully disassemble and inspect the transmission, replacing any worn or damaged components before reassembling and testing the unit to ensure proper operation.
